Due to the massage effect of the wave-shaped surface, training may feel uncomfortable during the first few uses and bruising is not uncommon. However, these will subside within a very short time. Once your body has become accustomed to the hula hoop, the work-out is completely pain-free. Gently move it up and down the muscle, applying light to medium pressure as needed.
